The Business Design Centre (BDC) in Islington, London, is a Grade II listed Victorian landmark, originally opened in 1862 as the Royal Agricultural Hall and converted in 1986 into a premier events venue. With 6,000 m² of exhibition space, it hosts over 300 events and 900,000 visitors annually, including the London Art Fair, HIX, and Surface Design Show. Combining historic architecture with a strong focus on the creative industries and built environment, the BDC offers a vibrant setting for exhibitions, product showcases, and seminars. At the Business Design Centre, TRIMline Interiors is presenting two sizes of SENSbox Acoustic Pod Rooms: the compact SENSbox S, ideal for phone calls and quick video meetings, and the larger SENSbox L, designed for private meetings of up to six people. Both pods—finished in natural timber cladding that echoes the venue’s industrial heritage—demonstrate how well-designed acoustic solutions can support focused work and collaboration within lively, event-driven environments, while blending seamlessly into a historic UK setting.
